 What is Elevated Desert Living? Elevated Desert Living means designing your space to its fullest potential, that also fits your lifestyle and how you live in your home.

Elevated Desert Living means going that extra step, adding that extra layer, color or texture to a room that may feel “decorated”, but not “designed”.

Let’s start with Elevated. People think Elevated automatically means expensive. It doesn’t! It means Thoughtful, Curated, Bespoke. It means elevating your space with carefully selected items, whether they be old or new, that give your space meaning and makes you feel instantly calm and at home. 

Desert. Growing up as a kid here in Palm Desert there were a lot of things I appreciated. I appreciated the freedom of a small town where I could ride my bike all day and be home for dinner. The hot air balloons that would fly so low over our house I could hear the fire when I was in my bedroom. I would run outside to see them fly over and wave to the lucky passengers. I felt like I could reach up and touch them. I appreciated the close-knit friendships I had growing up on a street with lots of families and kids. It was a safe space. What I didn’t appreciate until much later in life, was the natural beauty I was surrounded by every, single day. The gorgeous mountains, the beautiful palm trees, the blooming wildflowers in the open desert and ohhhhhhh…….The Date Groves! Acres and acres of them scattered all throughout the Coachella Valley. How I miss seeing those every day. So how does that translate into designing your home? It gives us a warm, earthy color palette, it gives us inspiration to look twice at decor pieces we might have previously overlooked ( think large serving bowl with hand painted hot air balloons on it, handmade in Italy). Yep, I started carrying a whole line of hot air balloon serveware by Abiamo Tutto just because it brought me to a happy place every time I looked at it. And, of course, because the pieces are absolutely gorgeous! I love it when long time desert residents come in and see it and share their similar stories and memories of hot air balloons in the desert. Desert means home, whatever those pieces are that evoke the feeling of home. Your safe space.

Living. How do you live in your home? How do you use each space? For each space in your home to feel curated and cozy, it has to be functional for the way you use each space. Do you entertain a lot? Do you love having Movie Nights at home? Do you use your outdoor spaces more than your indoor spaces? Are you a year-round or seasonal resident?
